This year EU Advent is taking a step further – because the holidays are not just about good fun, but also about caring for the city, the people and the shared space.
We are introducing reusable cups to reduce waste and keep the festive atmosphere without mountains of single-use plastic. The square stays clean, and you get a souvenir you can take home.
Three Advent Thursdays and one Tuesday get a special, charitable note through the cooking show “Stars are cooking” – well-known chefs, influencers and public figures prepare festive dishes, and all proceeds from these meals are donated to the association Budi dobro, which supports people living with cancer and their families.
This is an Advent that has a heart – not just a good line-up.
Instead of single-use plastic, we use a system of returnable cups. You pay a small deposit, use your cup all evening, then either return it or keep it as a souvenir.
Food & drink vendors are encouraged to reduce single-use packaging, separate waste and use more sustainable materials whenever possible.
EU Advent shows that even the liveliest Advent location can be tidy, quick to clean and friendly to the people who live and work here.
Every returned cup, every piece of sorted waste and every responsible choice makes the city a better place for all of us.
Three Advent Thursdays and one Tuesday are reserved for Diners Club charity cooking duels. Well-known chefs, influencers and public figures enter a cooking battle – and the audience is the one that tastes, votes and helps.
All proceeds from these dishes are donated to the association Budi dobro, which supports people living with cancer and their families.
8 EUR = 2 PORTIONS
With one ticket you get one dish from each team and your vote decides who wins the culinary duel of the evening.
